If you need to provide a Developer with access to Site files for a single website then this is easy to do in Scout.
- Login to your cloudabove portal and then select Scout Control Panel from the menu.
- Click the Settings cog beside the Site you wish to provide access to.
- Take note of the Overview panel on the left-hand side, that area contains all of the information will need to hand over to the developer. It looks like this:
Take note of the following information that you will need from your Scout control panel:- IP address
- SFTP Port
- Username
- The last piece will be the Password, click on the 'Change' link and it will take you to a page with a Password Management section, click on Reset Password and it will give you a new password. Do not worry, this change will not affect the functioning of the website.
At this point you should have all of the information you need to hand-over to the Developer who wishes to work with this website, we would recommend laying out the information like this in an email to them:
Protocol: SFTP
Port: 2223
IP Address: 185.219.236.47
Username: poldice
Password: LUcbG57zm
You can use free software like FileZilla or WinSCP to connect to the server using this information.
