Clearing a Site's Cache on Scout

Last updated by Ashley Cawley on October 25, 2023 15:58

00:00: Lets take a look at how to clear the Cache on a website using the Scout platform. This can be useful if you have added new content to your website and would like it to show up immediately.

00:10: First start by logging in at cloudabove.com, then clicking on the Scout Control panel from the top menu, you will then see your sites listed like this.

00:19: Next, click on the Settings cog beside the site you wish to manage.

00:24: This is the overview page for the site, next we want to scroll downwards on this page to find the Performance and Caching section.

00:31: Great, here it is.

00:34: Now click on the red "Clear Cache" button. This will empty and refresh your Site's cache. This will help to show new content which has very recently been added. New additions to your website will show naturally over time, but with caching it place it could take 10 to 15 minutes for that to occur, this however speeds up that process to be immediate, which can be useful in some scenarios.

00:56: The Scout Platform was handcrafted with love by our cloud above team in Cornwall. If you have any feedback or suggestions then we would love to hear from you.
